Hoskins was just 17 when he broke into the Rotherham United side, and his most prolific season came in League One in 2006/07 where he had netted 15 goals in 22 appearances. His form secured a move to Premier League Watford in January 2007, alongside team-mate Lee Williamson, for a combined fee of £1.2m. He made his debut that month against Liverpool and had loan spells at Millwall and Nottingham Forest during his time at the club. Last June he signed a permanent deal for Bristol Rovers and netted an impressive 20 goals in a struggling Pirates side. He signed a two-year deal for Albion in May 2011.
Sadly, Will’s career at the Albion has been dogged by injuries large and small. Always impressive when he has played and his goal against Newcastle in the cup was a great example of his clever movement and cool finishing. He was recently injured again against Blackburn and is out for the rest of this season.
