Welcome Soufyan Ahannach. Does this top off an amazing week or is there more?
Brighton & Hove Albion have completed the signing of winger Soufyan Ahannach from Dutch Eerste Divisie side Almere City.
After the club record signings of Davy Propper and Jose Izquierdo, is this the end of Albion’s spree or is the more to come?
The 21-year-old, who predominantly plays as a left winger, joins the first-team squad on a three-year contract on undisclosed terms.
Ahannach helped his former club reach the Dutch second-tier play-offs last season, scoring an impressive 18 goals and claiming 15 assists in 42 appearances throughout the campaign.
Manager Chris Hughton said, “We are pleased to welcome Soufyan to the club; he’s a young player with a lot of talent and good potential.
“He’s has done very well playing senior football in Holland in recent seasons and we look forward to seeing more of what Soufyan is capable of over the coming weeks and months.”
The winger made his first appearance for Almere City in 2012 and hit the back of the net 32 times in 97 appearances for the Dutch club.
